Frequently Asked Questions and Policies???
Do you offer classes year-around?
Yes. Our classes are divided up by seasons. For example...Winter, Early Spring, Spring, Summer, Fall and Holiday. Our regular sewing classes are normally 6wks, meeting once a week for 2hrs. During the summer months we have week long camps for the kids to enjoy, while being out of school. Between regular classes, summer camps and special events, we are SEW confident you will find something to enjoy.
Sewing Class or Camp Cancellations?
Payments for classes, camps or events are final. When you purchase your class, there is a sewing space reserved just for you. Please make sure the class time selected is best for you. Refunds or store credits are not given.
Sewing Class Make-ups?
Make-ups are given for instructor canceled classes. Although I will try to accommodate, there is no guarantee of a make-up for any other missed classes. You are welcome to make-up a class by attending another scheduled class as space allows, within the same 6wks session. Making up a class outside of any scheduled class time, during studio hours, will classify as a drop-in. Therefore a charge of $35 will be expected.
Sewing Class Redemption's (gift certificate or sales)?
Classes purchased for a gift certificate or during sewing class sales, must be redeemed by the expiration date noted in your confirmation emails or on the gift certificate. Redemption's must be made during a applicable registration period for the type of class purchased. No exceptions are made.
Do we provide alterations?
No. You are welcome to sign up for a class to learn how to hem etc.
Do we offer private lessons?
Do to our current class schedules, we are unable to offer Private Lessons at this time.
Does everyone have to make the same thing ?
No. Our weekly sewing classes are set up in a group environment, but you learn on an individual basis doing the projects that interests YOU.
Is this a "fashion design school"?
No. We have taken the stress out of "school" and created a simple, craftsy, and fun environment to sew in. There are no textbooks, but an audible voice and a helping hand guiding you through patterns and/or tutorials for each project. I've learned over the years that most creative people learn through hands on opportunities. "SEW" if a pattern step needs to get changed in a construction process, in order to make things simpler for YOU, then that's just what we'll do. Our ultimate goal is to help you learn an amazing craft, create some great projects, and keep frustrations down along the way.
